Global President & Chief Executive Officer, Stoli Group
Hugues Pietrini is the Global Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Stoli® Group, the division of SPI Group responsible for the production, management and distribution of its global spirits portfolio. Pietrini boasts a 22-year career in the food & beverage and spirits industries. Prior to Stoli Group, he served as Executive Vice President of Distribution at Moët Hennessy, the wines and spirits division of LVMH, where he oversaw international distribution and led the Ruinart, Krug, Glenmorangie, and Belvedere brand houses.
Previously, he spent nearly eight years at Orangina Schweppes, where he was promoted to President & CEO of the France and Belgium regions from his Marketing and Research & Development Director post midway through his tenure. In 2005-2006, while at Pernod Ricard, Pietrini was Vice President of the then Stolichnaya Brand Organization.
As Global CEO of Stoli Group over the past year and a half, Pietrini led the expansion of the portfolio to include Cenote™ Tequila and Se Busca Mezcal in March and July of this year, respectively. Platinum award-winning elit Vodka kicked off 2018 by unveiling a “night edition” bottle with a focus on nightclubs and lounges. Additionally, under his leadership, Stoli Group’s Kentucky Owl Bourbon entered the rye whiskey category and broke ground on a distillery and visitors center in Bardstown, Kentucky to close out 2017. After holding majority stake in Bayou Rum for more than two years, Stoli Group acquired the remaining stake in May 2018 and Pietrini introduced a rebranded line earlier this month at the TFWA World Exhibition and Duty-Free Conference in Cannes. Finally, working with the brand marketing team, Pietrini led the development of a new Stoli Vodka advertising campaign that was introduced in May 2018. Coined “Whatever Drives You, Make it Loud and Clear,” Pietrini see it truly as a manifesto for Stoli Group overall.
Hugues attended Middlebury College in Vermont and earned his graduate degree from ESSEC Business School in France. He is based at Stoli Group’s Luxembourg headquarters and lives in Paris with his wife, son and daughter.
